Each of the following Kanji characters contains a picture, an idea, or a structure that invites closer examination. For centuries these characters have been used across East Asia as part of everyday written language. Yet when we slow down and study them carefully, some appear to demonstrably illustrate themes that closely resemble the story of the Gospel. These sketches explore those characters and ask a simple question: could traces of an ancient witness still remain hidden in plain sight?
